Showing up at an airport before 9 Am with an incredible group of Bryant University students was a very interesting time. There was a very mixed mood of both anxiousness and excitement as people awaited the arrival of rest of the group, but it was when Srdan showed up offering the entire group bagels that everyone seemed to have their moods completely lifted and ready for the journey ahead. Going on the first flight, which seemed like years ago, really dragged on for everyone even though it was only about a four hour flight. It was only when we had the time to really start bonding as a group in the Dallas airport that the excitement for this trip began to sky rocket. The group of kids that I was roaming around with even spent 20 minutes just riding around in the monorail which was surprisingly an incredible time for all of us. As it got closer to board, we started to run out of ideas for how we could possibly keep ourselves entertained. As our anxiousness about the flight grew to an all time high, once again Srdan came to the rescue as he pulled out a deck of Uno cards and got to experience the most electric game of Uno I have ever played.

Sitting on a plane for over 10 hours was no easy task for any of us to take on, but the thought of being in Argentina was really the motivator that kept all us going through that incredibly long and tough journey. Once we arrived in Argentina and all huddled onto the bus to head to our hotel, you could really sense the joy and excitement that was circulating throughout the entire group. It was at this moment that all of us knew we had the adventure of a lifetime approaching and we couldn't be happier about it. After we all checked in and decided what we all were going to do for the rest of the day, that is when the tiredness set in and I was fully aware that if naps did not occur, there would be no way that I would have been able to stay awake until dinner. After a well deserved nap and some talk of encouragement, a small group of us decided to wander about the city and see what interesting places we could find. Being in an Argentinian diner for the first time was a really cool but also challenging experience due to the language barrier that we had to tackle. Although we struggled with communicating with our waiter, he was still extremely friendly and even shared some laughs with us as the meal continued. Now, at this moment it is about 7:20 and it is approaching time for all of us to have our first dinner together at a very nice and classy Italian restaurant where we got to watch some tango, share some laughs, and eat absolutely phenomenal food.

As the night winds down and everyone begins to go their own way, I can very easily say that so far, even on the first day, that this has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life and cant wait to see what the next 2 weeks have in store.
Thank you for the blog post. I am sure I am not the only one eagerly waiting to hear about your grand adventure. It appears that Argentina has very modern looking buildings.
